Cheating the Impossible

The impossible—we are told—cannot be achieved. Thus a ‘fair confrontation’ is out of the question. To overcome the ‘impossible’ we need to use our wits and be fearless. We need to break the rules and to circumvent—some would one say to cheat. It’s important to not let the impossible know we defy it, as we’re busy planning a checkmate. – Philippe Petit

Philippe Petit startled the world when he walked on a taut cable between the soaring twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City in 1974. As an educator, his talk also struck a chord when he noted he was his own teacher.

In the mean time I am thrown out of five schools, because of listening to my teachers, I am my teacher, progressing in my art of being a street juggler

Would he have been thrown out of our school, or would we have encouraged him to run a magic, juggling, high wire walking club? I think we know the most likely answer.
