MS WORD Tip

Having supported students typing up coursework, I was a little surprised at the lengths they went to, to edit their documents. Here are the most common editing tips I shared with them. Do you have any to add?

  • CTRL ENTER – new page
  • CTRL B, I, U – bold, italic and underline.
  • Double-clicking selects a single word
  • Triple-clicking selects an entire paragraph.
  • CTRL and click a single word selects the sentence.
  • Asterisk then spacebar creates a bullet list.
  • Double click a word and Shift+F7 brings up the thesaurus.
