10-11

Aspice Retro 9-10

Exams Results

First to recap on the exam results. 79% (20% Distinction 26% Merit 33 Pass) achieving 2 GCSE passes (without the exception of 3 students – who achieved 1 GCSE – with valid reasons). Sadly, the Level 1 students were not successful in passing the internal moderation. Whilst I am very proud of the departments achievements, I am equally disappointed with my leadership of the Level 1 course.

Aspice Porro 2010-11

This is an exciting year for me both personally and professionally. Our second child in due in October and Harry, now two, is an absolute joy. Professional, I have accepted my first Senior Leadership appointment (ICT, English and IT Services) and with the news that our headteacher is retiring at Christmas, I will be able to observe and learn from the process of a ‘new’ head joining our school. The year will be the first time I have taught English as a qualified teacher (PE and English PGCE 1998) as well as an opportunity to better understand how the Laptops4Learning initiative is progressing first hand, in the wild.

Still to do from 2009-10

IT – Win7, Office 2010, Microsoft Live@edu, Parental Engagement with Zi-link, Moodle 2.0 will hopefully launch and all the unknown.
