Tiki-Toki and Storify

My search for a timeline tool to prepare and plan tasks continues. I am looking for a timeline tool that permits the schedule on seconds, minutes and hours, as well as years. This would then enable students to plan audio ads, analysis film storylines and prepare drama pieces.

tikiA front runner is Tiki-Toki a very attractive  animated timelines with plenty of embeddables including images (flickr) and video (Youtube) and also the ability to customise background image, categories and colours

Basic accounts are free but what I am waiting for is the pricing for their Gold Account pricing and the ability to install the timeline software on your own servers. Its such a small part of school work, I am hope ChronoFlo and Webalon see a reasonable cost as an opportunity to grow their user base.

Second, I am a fun a story creation tools, but Storify takes a slightly different tact. Storify uses existing media from various platforms, from which, you construct stories. A very stylish mash-up of photos, video, tweets and more. embeddable anywhere. Looks interesting but still in BETA invite stage so sign up.
