Any way, Bloggn is a ’gorgeous, full-featured Tumblr client’ iOS app. What I think out students will like  most of the app is the prospect of Twitter and Facebook integration and the use of multiple accounts. I can already think of some interesting learning applications. For example, class blogging as a cast of a play, starting a class blog and graduating or migrating to a personal blog. Curating a experts list from Twitter and publishing it as a Bloggn might be interesting.

Don’t be angry with me music teachers. Google Chrome wants us to get creative and play music, together. Well I say play… Let’s Jam.

Let me introduce Google’s new webapp that let’s you play music in your browser with up to three friends. You get to choose from 19 different instruments, with both “easy” and “pro” playing modes. Okay it not real music it’s programmable music, but it’s music and it could prove a fun hook. At least I’m playing music.

The downside – there is no save option but its early days.

My efforts were not as good as these audio animals.

When educators share their enthusiasm for RSS they usually start with an explanation of what it is, I probably did the first time shouted about RSS for learning. The truth is, most teachers (and students) don’t care; they just want more effective and more reliable ways to expose their students to inspirational and accurate content streams.

What if you could expose your students to multiple examples of inspirational and accurate content streams and have it delivered directly to your students inbox. What if you could bring the BBC journalist, leading experts and commentators and Twitterati sharing their thoughts and opinions with your students?

Step 1 Find RSS

You can get RSS feeds almost everywhere these days, Great news sites, publishers, industry pages, social media and curation sites. That includes the BBC, blogs, itunes, itunes U, Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, Evernote and Pinterest.

Step 2 Bundle the rich learning content

Use RSSMix.com or Google RSS Bundles to collate a group of selected RSS feeds into one master feed, delivering a whole bunch of learning goodness.

STEP 3 – Present or Send the content

Most hosting sites, blogs, school learning platforms will allow you to embed the content, and most email accounts will allow you to receive RSS content. So embed it or email it.

Receive free, real-time email notifications when your favorite feeds are updated using feed2mail. You can subscribe for up to 50 notifications per email address. Just enter another feed and use the same email. Another great tool to get content to students.

I am now thinking two roles, my current role as Assistant Vice Principal (Progression and Achievement) and a new role (starting in Jan) Vice Principal (Teaching and Learning). I have folders for both role, in addition to all the ususal teaching folders.

I was looking for a quick and easy was to define the folders and Folderico seemed to fit the bill. Folderic quickly enables me to change the folder icons (and even folder themes)and restore them back to the original state in one click. Green for AVP folders, and blue for new VP folders.
