About Me

I don’t wish to waste your time, so let’s cover the essentials. My Linkedin profile provides a professional overview, experience, qualifications, honours, awards and endorsements.

From Loughborough University, then onto SIUE near St Louis in America, via Tauntons College and Hamble Community Sports College, I find myself leading Teaching and Learning, as Vice Principal at The Wellington Academy.

Though the leadership of teaching and learning is as rewarding as it is demanding, I still find time to lead get hands on, working with staff on education projects, designing schemes of work, lessons and learning assets, most often exploring how technology can augment student experiences. My other guilty passion is exploring how education data can be more effectively used to inform teaching and learning, from a school leaders viewpoint, to enable educators to purposefully, decisively and intelligently, make the most of data for learning and from a learners self-directed viewpoint.

Feel free to get in touch.

welcome to wordpress – it rocks!

  2. been having a good look round your blog, you have some great ideas. I am currently a head of IT, i will be moving in summer to an inner city academy as an ICT co-coordinator / aspiring AST. I am very interested in some of the ideas you have.

    • Congrats on your new post and role. I would love to hear how that job develops for you. Feel free to stay in touch / visit / share ideas. Currently looking at zxing could be used to send homework to students. Should be interesting and full of hurdles.

  3. I can confirm that Kristian practises what he preaches, and is rigorous in what he does. Much of my practice is influenced by what he does, particularly with learning objectives. In all, a decent chap (even with his terrible taste in football teams…)
