Gapminder Updates – Great Post

Hat tip to Dan Stucke for his great post on the updates to Gapminder.org

…a fantastic tool for visualising a wealth of World data on lovely scatter graphs that animate changes through the years. (Dan Stucke)

Like Dan, I too have been inspired by Hans Rosling and IMHO the data sets available at Gapminder are fantastic – and I am not even a mathematician .

Web Classification

An internet service provider offering web filtering that uses the same classification certificates as the UK film industry has launched.

Well, classification finally comes to the web. Its hardly surprising its taken so long, the internet is a colossus structure to catalogue. I am not convinced that classifications for film can be applied to the internet. Should blogging be restricted to the over 15s? If you are in agreement and are happy to pay £19.99 to guide your childrens surfing over 3 Billion websites, then Tibboh could be your next ISP.
